Tour Overview
6-Day Istanbul and Antalya Tour Package: Hagia Sophia, Kaleiçi, Aspendos & Düden Waterfalls
This Istanbul and Antalya tour package runs six days and five nights, starting in Istanbul with an airport meet and greet. Two nights are spent in the Old City area; on Day 3 a short domestic flight (about 1 h 20 min) takes you to Antalya on the Mediterranean coast for three nights, and on Day 6 you fly back to Istanbul.
Day 2 covers Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, Topkapı Palace and the Grand Bazaar. In Antalya you walk through Kaleiçi, from Hadrian’s Gate to the old harbour, and visit the Düden waterfalls. The big excursion heads east to Perge, the Aspendos theatre, Side’s Temple of Apollo and Manavgat Waterfall, with Perge and Aspendos tickets already paid. Our Aspendos, Perge & Side day trip guide shows how that day unfolds. See more Antalya tour packages.
It suits first-time visitors, couples and families who want a big city and a seaside base in one trip. Pick Shared, small groups with lunch on tour days, or Private with your own vehicle and guide. Both include 4★ hotels (or similar) with breakfast, flights between Istanbul and Antalya, airport transfers and an English-speaking guide; Istanbul museum tickets are paid on-site. Staying on the coast only? See the 4-night Antalya holiday package.

Allow roughly 45 to 90 minutes, depending on the airport and the traffic. After check-in and a rest, use the free evening to stroll through Sultanahmet, the historic square between Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque, where both buildings are floodlit after dark. Places Along the Route
.jpg)
Hagia Sophia
Completed in 537 under Emperor Justinian, this domed Byzantine cathedral later became an Ottoman mosque. Its vast central dome, resting on a ring of windows, still defines the skyline of the old city and sets the tone for the day.
.jpg)
Blue Mosque
Sultan Ahmed I had this mosque built in the early 1600s. Six slender minarets, a cascade of domes and thousands of blue İznik tiles inside explain its popular name, and it remains an active place of worship.
.jpg)
Topkapı Palace
From the 1460s until the 19th century the Ottoman sultans governed from these courtyards above the Bosphorus. Pavilions, the imperial treasury and the harem quarters show how court life was organised.
.jpg)
Grand Bazaar
Begun in the 15th century, this covered market grew into a maze of vaulted lanes with thousands of small shops selling ceramics, textiles, leather and jewellery. It is a place for browsing, tasting tea and bargaining.

Hadrian's Gate
Raised around 130 AD to honour a visit by Emperor Hadrian, this three-arched marble gateway was the Roman entrance to the city. Today it marks the edge of Kaleiçi and the start of its narrow lanes.

Kaleiçi Old Harbour
A natural harbour in use since Roman times, enclosed by cliffs and the old city walls. Wooden excursion boats, cafe terraces and wide sea views make it a favourite spot around sunset.

Hıdırlık Tower
This round Roman tower on a square base stands at the cliff edge and may once have been a lighthouse or a tomb. The gardens around it look over the harbour, the sea and the Taurus Mountains.

Düden Waterfalls
The Düden River crosses the city and drops over rock ledges in two places. The Upper Düden falls tumble through a park, while Karpuzkaldıran plunges from the cliffs straight into the sea.

Perge
Perge was a major Roman city of Pamphylia. Its long colonnaded main street with a central water channel, the monumental gates, the stadium and the baths are still easy to read on the ground.
Aspendos
The Roman theatre here dates from the 2nd century AD and holds thousands of spectators. Its stage building survives almost whole, so the acoustics still work and performances are held in it today.
Temple of Apollo
Five restored Corinthian columns of this 2nd-century temple stand on the headland beside the sea, next to a smaller temple of Athena. In the late light the ruins are the classic backdrop of Side's old harbour.
Manavgat Waterfall
The Manavgat River widens and drops a couple of metres over a rocky ledge, framed by shaded tea gardens. Wide rather than tall, it is an easy, relaxed last stop on the way back from Side.

Good to Know
Hagia Sophia and Prayer Times
Hagia Sophia is a working mosque, so visits are limited at prayer times and around Friday midday.
Children
Children aged 0–2 travel free; children aged 3–7 get a 30% discount when sharing the room with adults. Family rooms are available on request.
Best Time to Visit Istanbul and Antalya
Spring (April–May) and autumn (September–October) are the most comfortable seasons: mild temperatures suit a full day of walking through the Old City and the open-air ruins of Perge, Aspendos and Side. The sea is warm enough for swimming from May to October, and summer is hot on the coast, so an early start, a hat and water help. The Grand Bazaar is closed on Sundays and Topkapı Palace on Tuesdays.
Flying Home from Antalya
The tour starts in Istanbul and the program returns you to Istanbul for your international connection. If you prefer a direct international flight home from Antalya, request a quote and we will adjust the last day.
Baggage on Domestic Flights
Domestic flights allow about 15 kg of checked baggage plus 8 kg of cabin baggage per person; the exact allowance depends on the airline and can change. We recommend packing a small overnight bag for flight days.
Pick-up Times
Your exact pick-up time is confirmed with you the day before each tour.
Hotel Check-in & Check-out
Standard hotel check-in is from 14:00 and check-out is until 12:00. Early check-in or late check-out depends on availability; ask us and we will request it.
Dietary Requirements
Halal and vegetarian options are available. Please tell us about any dietary needs when you book.
What to Wear
Please dress modestly when visiting mosques and religious sites: shoulders and knees covered, and a scarf for women. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended on every tour.
